Gazprom raises capex by 9% to 539.6 bln rbl in January–June

MOSCOW, Aug 30 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom increased its capital expenditures by 9% on the year to 539.6 billion rubles in January–June, the company said in a report late on Tuesday.

Expenditures in the segment of production of oil and gas condensate rose 19% to 171 billion rubles, spending on transportation gained 7% to 183.8 billion rubles, and spending on refining soared about 80% to 96.7 billion rubles.

Expenditures on natural gas production went up 19% on the year to 52.4 billion rubles in the period, and on gas transportation surged about 80% to 11.7 billion rubles. In the gas storage segment it plummeted about 50% to 6.6 billion rubles.

Spending on production and sales of electric and thermal power fell by about 44% to 15.5 billion rubles, and other expenditures contracted by about 50% to 11.4 billion rubles.

Gazprom also plans to invest a total of 1.58 trillion rubles in its gas, oil, power, and thermal power production in 2017, down from 1.798 trillion rubles expected previously, but an increase from 1.344 trillion rubles invested in 2016.
